Bio ––
Julian Bittiner is an independent designer based in Queens, New York, and a Lecturer in graphic design at the Yale School of Art. Originally from Geneva, Switzerland, he studied fine art and then graphic design at Art Center College of Design, sub-sequently receiving an MFA from Yale.
In 2008 he organized the first Yale MFA Graphic Design traveling exhibition entitled Dawdle and Gape. His work focuses primarily on the cultural sector and is characterized by an interest in the shared histories of fine and applied arts, and their evolving relationship to the public realm.
